Program Requirements

If you are pursuing a degree in computer information systems, you must meet the below requirements to be eligible for graduation. Also, you must complete the general education program, fulfill the general baccalaureate degree requirements and complete at least 125 hours of coursework.

The Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems is a comprehensive degree, meaning that a minor is not necessary to complete the degree. Visit the “Courses Offered by Department” for complete course listings and descriptions.

  1. General Education Program and Requirements
  2. College of Business Admission and Program Requirements. Note: CIS 461(3) must be taken by Computer Information Systems majors.
  3. Major Requirements
    1. CIS 260(3); 266(3) or 370(3); 330(3), 388(3), 395(3); 466(3) or 475(3); 494(3) or 528(3)
    2. Complete 9 additional hours from: CIS 262(3), 266(3)*, 370(3)*, 397(3), 420(3), 466(3)*, 475(3)*, 494(3)*, 528(3)*, 535(3), 545(3), 555(3), 560(3), 564(3), 581(3), 583(3), 591(3)
